CLSU student enters Top 30 of the 6th AUAP Student English Speech Competition (VSESC)

CLSU — Ms. Maria Jeaia Cao, a sophomore Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student, showed her skills in speech delivery. She joins the Top 30 of the 6th Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) Students English Speech Competition on March 30, 2022.
This virtual competition Ms. Cao participated in, is one of the initiated events of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was established in 1995 and is based in Thailand. The Association has been organizing annual events like conferences, workshops for higher education institutions across Asia and the Pacific. It also serves as a platform for universities in Asia and the Pacific and even around the world. More importantly, the AUAP primary aims to create a connection between its member universities that will give way for collaboration opportunities.

The 6th AUAP Student English Speech Competition (SESC), also known as the 2nd AUAP Virtual Student Speech (VSESC) is an event organized by the AUAP in cooperation with Siam University, in Bangkok Thailand, Association of Indian Principals (AIP). It is an annual competition for showcasing the talents of students from Asia and the Pacific in preparing and delivering a speech on a given topic. This event is joined by Bachelor’s Degree Level students, students from AUAP member institutions, and non-AUAP member institutions.
Central Luzon State University (CLSU) held an online screening in search of its representative for the competition last December 9, 2021 adapting the competition’s speech topic “Should society embrace the advances in Artificial Intelligence?”. The top 3 placers were announced on December 10, 2021 with Maria Jeaia Cao ranking first.
Cao will again compete to claim her spot in the Top 15 on April 27, 2022, 12:00 PM, Bangkok time, Thailand, via Zoom.
