CLSU | Central Luzon State University niches the Alper-Dodger Scientific Index’s Top Universities 2022 by ranking 11th out of the Top 50 Universities in the country.

The Alper-Dodger Scientific Index or AD Scientific Index is a ranking system that is known for ranking institutions based on their scientist’s scientific performance, outputs, and productivity. AD Scientific index specifically uses Google Scholar’s citations, h-index, and i10 index scores to assess the productivity of the scientists. AD Scientific Index indicates the h-index and i10 index scores from the last five years and their totality.

CLSU student enters Top 30 of the 6th AUAP Student English Speech Competition (VSESC)

CLSU — Ms. Maria Jeaia Cao, a sophomore Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student, showed her skills in speech delivery. She joins the Top 30 of the 6th Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) Students English Speech Competition on March 30, 2022.
This virtual competition Ms. Cao participated in, is one of the initiated events of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was established in 1995 and is based in Thailand. The Association has been organizing annual events like conferences, workshops for higher education institutions across Asia and the Pacific. It also serves as a platform for universities in Asia and the Pacific and even around the world. More importantly, the AUAP primary aims to create a connection between its member universities that will give way for collaboration opportunities.

LOOK | CLSU FACULTY AMONG THE MOST CITED SCIENTISTS IN THE COUNTRY

Dr. Hazel Monica Peralta, an associate professor from the College of Fisheries, ranked 137th among the top cited scientists in the country according to 2022 AD Scientific Index.

Dr. Peralta is named as the most cited scientist in the university with her paper on “Phytoplankton succession in intensive marine shrimp culture ponds treated with a commercial bacterial product” having highest number of citations among her numerous researches with 89 excerpts since 2002. She was also recognized as the 3rd best scientist in the field of Fisheries in the country for the last five years.

CLSU gets 2 recognitions for highest number of Scopus publications, DOST highest number of accepted proposals in 2021

The Central Luzon State University received two awards from DOST- Elsevier. One is for having the highest number of accepted proposals with DOST in 2021 and the other for having the highest number of Scopus publications in 2021. The recognitions were given during the DOST-ELSEVIER Awards on December 16, 2021 thru Zoom web conference. The meeting was attended by the CLSU Science Direct Coordinator and Head of the University Library, Dr. Nuelah SJ. Reyes.

PSSN, CLSU host ICoNSIE 2021

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) thru the International Affairs Office (IAO) and the Philippine Society for the Study of Nature (PSSN) hosted the 20th Annual Scientific Meeting and International Conference on Nature Studies and Innovation for the Environment (ICoNSIE 2021) via Zoom on November 26-27. The conference focused on Nature Exploration, Education, and Innovations during a Disruption.
